Our Story
Harvest Increase Agriculture grew out of a strong desire to give back to Iowa and the rest of the Midwest by helping it farmers. The co-founders both grew up in the Midwest and have seen first hand how hard farmers work and the difficulties of being profitable as a farmer. They wanted to help farmers and the communities in which they live.
The idea for HI Ag originated in the Bowden Research group in 2017 as a plan to develop a fertilizer to increase harvest yields of crops grown in the Midwest. With large financial assistance from the National Science Foundation, a new fertilizer was developed that had a strong, positive effect on corn and soybeans as shown in field trials. This strong financial support from the NSF was key to developing a fertilizer, called SUPRGrow, that was only needed in small quantities to have a large effect on harvest yields.
In January of 2022 Harvest Increase Agriculture, LLC was launched to commercialize SUPRGrow to increase harvest yields of corn, soybeans, and more in the U.S. We have four strong years of field trial results and are working to get SUPRGrow in the hands of as many farmers as possible.
