Harvest Increase Agriculture is a growing fertilizer company based in Iowa City, IA with a patented, innovative new sulfur-based fertilizer being commercialized in Iowa and across the Midwest.  The initial focus of Harvest Increase Ag is in seed treatments and planter box treatments for corn and soybeans. Harvest Increase Ag also has plans to capitalize on early success with additional applications of SUPRGrow across a wide variety of row crops.

  

Harvest Increase Ag is seeking a talented and proven sales leader with experience in seed and nutritional agriculture to drive strategic initiatives including sales and product introduction activities and working with other internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will collaborate with the founders to position SUPRGrow in the marketplace. Harvest Increase Ag is seeking a forward-thinking agriculture expert to drive growth and position the company for both short- and long-term success.


Essential Functions

· Drive sales through managing and developing partnerships with agriculture distributors and seed companies

· Manage SUPRGrow distribution to a variety of outlets including corporate partners, retailers, distributors and growers

· Represent Harvest Increase Agriculture with grower groups and at regional/national industry events

· Expand channel access of SUPRGrow to adjacent states

· Participate in strategic planning to commercialize SUPRGrow nationally

· Assist with identifying candidates to grow the Harvest Increase Agriculture team

· Assist with managing product trials

· Participate in fundraising efforts as needed

· Constant communication with leadership


Requirements

· Deep knowledge of fertilizers seed nutrition and treatments options

· Demonstrated background in successful commercialization of seed and fertilizer products

· Experience with managing multiple tasks

· Strong sales and project management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new product lines

· Experience working with growers and agriculture companies to drive product adoption and sales

· Ability to identify new opportunities to present SUPRGrow

· Passion for driving a solution to existing problems in agriculture

· Attention to detail

About the job

Harvest Increase Agriculture is a new fertilizer company based in Iowa City, IA that has an innovative new sulfur-based fertilizer that is being commercialized in Iowa and across the Midwest.  We are initially focused on seed treatments and planter box treatments for corn and soybeans. We are looking for a talented and motivated President with experience in agriculture to lead and work with the other employees. This is a full-time position, although we will consider candidates who can work at least half-time initially as they transition to a full-time position. The candidate will work with the founders and other agronomy experts within the company to position our fertilizer, SUPRGrow, and grow the company. We are seeking a forward-thinking agriculture expert to grow Harvest Increase Agriculture. 

Responsibilities include

· Manage and develop partnerships with agriculture distributors and seed companies

· Publicizing Harvest Increase Agriculture with farmer groups and at regional/national meetings

· Purchasing product from chemical suppliers

· Expanding the ability to sell SUPRGrow in adjacent states

· Planning a strategy to commercialize SUPRGrow 

· Identify candidates to hire to grow the workforce at Harvest Increase Agriculture

· Work with the founders and other employees 

· Managing trials with SUPRGrow

· Lead fundraising rounds

· Send updates to investors

Highly Desired Qualifications 

· Deep knowledge of seed treatments and planter box treatments

· Demonstrated background in commercialization of a new agriculture product

· Deep knowledge about fertilizers and seed treatments

· Experience with managing multiple tasks

· Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new product lines

· Experience working with farmers and agriculture companies

· Be agile and willing to pivot as new opportunities arise

· Broad experience in agriculture

· Passion for driving a solution to existing problems in agriculture
